Fun In The Snow!

We all played in the snow last night. Evan went sledding in his little ducky tub and had a blast. He has so many new things going on these days. He is pulling up to EVERYTHING, even cruising a little bit (walking holding onto things, for those of you that don't know what that means!). He just loves standing up and watching whats going on around him. Lori, the babysitter, tells me all the time how 'advanced' he is, and he is such a quick learner. Also that she thinks he actually knows that when the girls have their snacks at the table, to go underneath to wait for the food they drop! Now that is advanced!
He is eating everything in site, and has even mastered his sippy cup. Evan always wants what I am eating, even if he has his own snacks. Kinda like a little puppy! Take the new poll. Let us know when you think Evan will be standing independently!

8 Months Old!

Well, actually tomorrow Evan will be 8 months old. Its been a while since our last post cause we have been so busy! We had a wonderful Christmas, and saw lots of family and friends. Evan is crawling EVERYWHERE now, and is so fast! Its his favorite thing to do-be on the floor. He has more words now too-MAMAMA, along with bababa. He is very strong on his feet... he can stand for very long periods. Kinda scary, Im so not ready for him to be walking soon!
Dave and I are lookin forward to the next Dr. appt so we can find out what percentile Evan is in. We know he is over 20 lbs just from us weighing him. We cant even think about getting him in 9 month clothes anymore, and even some 12 month clothes are gettin kinda tight! SUCH A BIG BOY! Hopefully we will be back soon. Til then - have a good week!

He's Crawling!

Hey Everyone! Its Evans mommy. Dave and I are so excited... Evan is crawling just in time for Christmas! It is SO darn cute, too! He's not quite steady, but he gets to where he is wanting to go. I had to keep turning him away from the entertainment stand yesterday while we were on the floor wrapping presents. Evan is also starting to show some disappointment when something is taken away from him (like the remotes!).
Separation anxiety is also starting to kick in. Sometimes as soon as i leave the room, he is upset... but easily distracted.
We are so excited about Christmas. If the plans go as Gramma Shelton is wanting, we will all see Dave's cousins, on Sunday, so Charlotte and Evan will be able to meet again! Both of them sitting up next to each other is gonna be adorable!! Everyone get the camera's ready!!! Be back soon!

Santa

Well, i got to see Santa, and i gotta tell ya... it was a little frightening!! He was really nice and all, but a little scary looking! I got through it, though. He was at a holiday party I went to last weekend at the Ihlers. Mommy says, again, I was just PERFECT! We were all there for over 6 hours, and I didn't cry once. I took a little nap for Mommy & Daddy cause they had a rob your neighbor game to play, so after that I was ready to party again.

Im almost crawling now. Im on my hands and knees and I kinda rock back and forth, but Im just not too sure how to move the arms and legs in the right order quite yet. Give me another week or so, and Im gonna have run of the house! Im eating little puffs and crackers now. I really LOVE the biscuits! Seems Mommy only gives them to me before bath time, though. They do get really messy. Somehow I even manage to get them on my feet... don't ask me how!

Christmas time is so exciting. Lots of gifts all around, and pretty lights! I just cant wait. Im sure there will be new food to try, too... which is my FAVORITE thing!

6 Months Old!!

I know... I can't believe it either! Six months already. So much is going on these days. Im sitting completely unsupported now. Just in time for my half birthday. I didnt have it quite down on Thursday, but Friday I had it figured out! And according to Mommy... my first word is ba ba. Which I know as food. I've been saying it for a couple weeks now, and she keeps trying to correct me and say MaMa, but why would I call my bottle MaMa???
I just love being in my play pen. I can reach or roll to all my toys. Sometimes I have my blankie in there with me and just take a little nap.
Giving kisses is fun too! I will grab Mommys face and pull it to mine, then give her a big wet open mouth kiss!! She just laughs, then wipes her face on my shirt! Ill let you all know when im crawling!

New Tricks

Hi everyone! I wanted to thank everyone that voted for me in the contest. I didnt win, but mommy did get the CD of pictures from my photo shoot! Thats good enough for her!

I've got a few new tricks to fill ya in on... Ive been rolling all over the place these days, and scootin around. Lately I've been able to get my toes in my mouth, and just love munchin on them. Believe it or not, I am doing very well with sittin unsuported! I loose my balance a bit, but mommy is always there to catch me.

I have a new baby sitter now, too. I start tomorrow with mommys cousin Mrs Lori! She lives really close to us, and has a boy about my age. I think we are all gonna be great friends! I'll have some new pictures up soon!

Vote For Me!

We had a good weekend... I got to see my Aunt Jennifer! She was so happy to see me. I was a bit under the weather, but stayed happy for a while for her. She got tons of pictures, we played on the floor, and talked together. Then yesterday I got to spend the whole day with Gramma. It was a good day!
Mommy says soon I'll be able to sit up on my own. That will be exciting!
Oh, I almost forgot! Mommy and Gramma took me to The Mills and got my picture taken for the St Louis's Most Photogenic Baby Contest.
